Play raises money for children affected by Chernobyl
Malibu resident Kim Stanwood Terranova's play, "Heartbeat of Chernobyl," was performed in Los Angeles for a two-day run last month, raising more than $10,000 for children affected by the Chernobyl disaster. The play tells the stories of the children, their families and countless others who were touched by the 1986 nuclear accident. The play integrated live performance, music and visual images to tell these compelling stories, and received standing ovations at both performances.

"Heartbeat of Chernobyl" was written and produced by Terranova, directed by Cate Caplin and inspired by the work of Adi Roche and the Oscar-winning documentary film, "Chernobyl Heart." The ensemble cast included two other Malibu residents, Caitlin Wachs and Dee Dee Davidson Porter.

The proceeds of the production are being donated back to the Chernobyl Chidren's Project. Donations may still be made to Namaste Productions at 29201 Heathercliff Road, #126, Malibu, CA 90265.
